Welcome home. Few words sound sweeter and feel more heartwarming than these.
This summer I returned to Raleigh, NC, after 26 years in New York City. Friends and family have lovingly helped me, my husband and our daughters get settled into a new home in what feels like a new city. Raleigh has changed so much since I left in 1991.
Adding to this change is a new role for me at Cardinal Gibbons. I am excited to join the Advancement Team as Associate Director of Alumni Advancement. In this position, I will be expanding opportunities to enhance alumni engagement. In short, I get to spend time with my fellow schoolmates and alumni who were on campus before and after my amazing four years at Gibbons, advancing our core values of faith, service and leadership.
In the coming months, look for opportunities for alumni to engage with Gibbons, whether you are close to Raleigh or far away. Designed to help you connect with the school and reconnect with old friends and make new ones, these activities will include social functions, service projects, and faith-based gatherings.
For more information about our plans look for the Alumni eNewsletter in your in-box. Or check out the Alumni page where you can update your information in the Class Notes section. For those who love up-to-the-minute info find us on Facebook or Twitter.
And speaking of change, have you visited lately? Cardinal Gibbons continues to grow and expand. When you get a chance feel free to reach out to me via email, firstname.lastname@example.org or stop in for a visit. I can’t wait to welcome you home!
