Annual Giving - The Cardinal Gibbons Fund

Developing the full potential of each and every Cardinal Gibbons student is possible only because of the generosity of our entire school community. Your unrestricted, annual gift to the Cardinal Gibbons Fund provides the School with the financial resources needed for exceptional learning opportunities that nurture our students' minds, bodies, and souls. 

Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of each child Catholic education. Nearly 5% of our budget comes from the Cardinal Gibbons Fund and our endowment. 

The Cardinal Gibbons Fund supports spiritual and leadership retreats, tuition assistance, technology, fine arts and athletics, and co-curricular activities. 

Planned Giving

Planned Gifts ensure the long term future of Cardinal Gibbons and allow donors to leave a lasting legacy. 

Donors are invited to be part of the Cum Deo Society, which recognizes and celebrates members of our community who have included Cardinal Gibbons in their estate plans. 

Joining the Cum Deo Society is easy: name Cardinal Gibbons as a beneficiary of your will, transfer ownership of your fully-paid life insurance policy to Cardinal Gibbons, name Cardinal Gibbons as the beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA or Donor Advised Fund, or another planned gift.

Restricted Gifts

Restricted Gifts are specified for a particular use by the donor. Restricted gifts may include capital improvements, financial aid, endowments, specific school programs, or other special projects. Recurring Gifts

To set up a recurring gift, paid in weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual installments, please visit our Online Giving form. Through recurring gifts you will to provide consistent support to Cardinal Gibbons. Contributing manageable increments over the course of the year allow you to maximize the impact of your gift while avoiding a large, one-time sum.

Matching Gifts

Maximize the impact of your gift by having it matched by your employer. Your employer may be able to help you double or triple the amount of your contribution! Donor Advised Fund

Cardinal Gibbons welcomes donors to recommend grants from their Donor Advised Funds, also know as a DAF. A donor advised fund is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes. If you have a donor advised fund, DAF Direct enables you to recommend grants to Cardinal Gibbons, directly from your DAF (as long as your DAF’s sponsoring organization is participating). 

Stock Gifts

To donate a gift of stock, please phone the Cardinal Gibbons Office of Advancement, 919-704-7363 ext. 163 to notify staff that a stock gift is being processed, name of donor, type of stock, number of shares, and expected date of transfer. Stock gifts are processed through the Diocese of Raleigh.
