Theology Teacher

Cardinal Gibbons High School is seeking applicants for a full-time Theology teaching position starting in the fall of 2015.

This individual:

  • should have relevant background and experience in teaching Theology in a secondary school.
  • should demonstrate proficiency with new technology and a willingness to integrate technology into classroom lessons.
  • should possess the ability to contribute to other facets of school life beyond the classroom
  • should demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with the other members of the Theology department and the whole school in academics, extra-curricular activities, and in furthering the mission of our school.
  • should be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

College Counselor

Cardinal Gibbons High School, grades 9-12, seeks a College Counselor beginning August 2015. This individual should have a strong commitment to working with high school students, parents, and faculty/staff through a process focused on identifying the best fit colleges for each student; encouraging independence in students while guiding parents and faculty on how best to support student growth. The position works closely with the three other counselors, administration and faculty in order to best prepare our students for college admission and success.

Instructional Technology Team Member/STAR Director

Cardinal Gibbons High School, grades 9-12 seeks a S.T.A.R. (Student Technical Assistance Resource) director/instructional technology team member beginning June 2015. The CGHS STARs is a student group that exists to support the technology integration initiatives at the school. This individual should have the ability and the desire to teach and work with high school students. This position will work with the instructional technology team, media team, faculty and administration in planning and implementing a high school curriculum with emphasis on research, using various sources of information, software, and techniques. Familiarity with Catholic education and a strong teaching background is preferred.
