CGHS FOOTBALL SUMMER SCHEDULE 2014

First Day of Summer Workouts - June 9th, 2014 (Juniors/Seniors 7:30am-9:00am, Freshmen/Sophomores 9:00am-10:30am).  Workouts will be held Monday-Friday at Cardinal Gibbons HS and will start on the stadium field.

NCHSAA "Dead Weeks" - June 29-July 5 and July 20-25 PARENTS: Please take your summer vacation during one of these two weeks.

TEAM RETREAT (Black Mountain, NC/YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly) - July 27-30 (Seniors only on July 27, All underclassmen will depart from CGHS on July 28.  The team will return on July 30th).


WINTER/SPRING LIFTING 2014

All students interested in playing football for the 2014 season are encouraged to get their lifting sessions in either before school (6:50am), during school (weightlifting class) or after school (3:05pm) (M, W, F).

NUC All-AMERICAN GAME

Dante DiMaggio was selected to represent the state of North Carolina and Cardinal Gibbons High School in the 2013 NUC All-American game (Myrtle Beach, SC).  Dante finished in the top 5 in receiving yards and yards per game in the state of North Carolina.  He had an outstanding senior season.  Congratulations Dante!

NORTH CAROLINA 2013 3A ALL-STATE TEAM

Jackson O'Korn was selected to the North Carolina 3A  All-State Team (1st team).  Jackson led the state in interceptions and helped lead his team to the 2nd round of the playoffs.  Congratulations Jackson!

BIG 8 ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS

The Crusaders placed 8 players on the All-Conference 1st team while adding an additional 5 to the honorable mention All-Conference list.

GIBBONS FOOTBALL CONTINUES TO PROVE ITSELF

The Cardinal Gibbons Football program completed another successful season in 2013.  Posting 9 wins and making a 6th straight post-season run.  Things continue to look bright for the Crusaders.
