"Who do you say that I am?" When Jesus asks this question of his disciples, they produce a variety of answers. Two thousand years later, little has changed. There are literally dozens of Christian denominations, each with its own definition of who Jesus was, and what he means to us today. What can we know with confidence about this man, "if indeed one should call him a man"? That is the purpose of this WebQuest: to examine the nature of ancient sources, to come to grips with the limits of their reliability, to apply what we have learned to writings of the New Testament, and ultimately to what we know (or think we know) about the life of Jesus of Nazareth himself. continue»
