What do you love most about the subject area you teach?
We get to tell the story of people, places, and events throughout time.

How long have you been in the teaching profession?
This is my 18th year teaching and year 15 at Gibbons.

If you were not a teacher, what profession would you have chosen?
I love to travel and educate, so perhaps a tour guide.

What makes Gibbons a unique/different place?
I like that Gibbons allows me to teach in a style that works for both me and my students. They trust me to be a professional and give me the resources my classes and I need.

What is your favorite Gibbons tradition?
Selfishly, I’d say that the Western Europe trip has become a Gibbons tradition! I love combining my passions for history and travel into an experience for students that allows them to study the past in the places where major events occurred. It also allows them to learn more about themselves, gain confidence, and find their place in the world, literally!
