Campus Guidelines During Phase 2

Governor Roy Cooper and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen  announced on May 20, 2020 that North Carolina will move into Safer At Home Phase 2 of lifting COVID-19 restrictions on Friday, May 22 at 5 p.m.

As of May 20, 2020, Cardinal Gibbons’ campus remains closed to all visitors, parents and students except during specified office hours and/or limited-access campus events. Only authorized Gibbons Educators may come to campus for school-related work.

Please do not come to campus at other times, or congregate anywhere on campus, for any reason, without authorization.

If you need to come to campus or into the school building:

  • Park in the front parking lot only.
  • Wear a cloth face covering.
  • Wait your turn to enter to maintain a social distance of six feet between yourself and non-family members at all times.
    • We may limit total numbers of people allowed inside the building at any given time.
  • Enter at the main doors and report directly to the main office (during office hours only).
  • Wash hands frequently and for at least 20 seconds for everyone’s health and safety.

    Living Our Mission While Apart

During this unprecedented time, Cardinal Gibbons High School has responded the way we always have in times of difficulty: by facing the challenge together.

Secure in our faith in God's providential care, we are working in service to each other and our community while we are apart, exhibiting the leadership that is our hallmark, at school, in our homes and in our communities.
