Director of Studies
Director of Studies:
Cardinal Gibbons High School is seeking applicants for a Director of Studies. This position will start on July 1, 2021.
The Director of Studies is responsible for the alignment, implementation, and analysis of the school’s academic program and oversight of the development of changes within the program. Responsibilities include using the school’s student data systems to measure student performance over time, providing the administration, educators and parents with data analysis and interpretation. The Director of Studies works collaboratively with the Director of Professional Development to assess the effectiveness of instruction through analysis of data, identifying potential weak spots, and instituting professional development programs to address those needs. In addition, the Directory of Studies works with the Director of Instructional Coaching & Curriculum to ensure that the current curriculum at Cardinal Gibbons High School is aligned with national standards, and create instructional strategies to deliver that curriculum.
- Works with department chairs to develop a unified, over-arching philosophy of grading within Cardinal Gibbons.
- Observes and evaluates current assessments within each department and classroom with emphasis on formative and authentic assessment strategies.
- Provides coaching, support, direction, assistance to educators relative to assessment strategies, data collection, and analysis.
- Partners with the Director of Professional Development to foster on-going development and coordinate training needs for classroom educators
- Partners with the Director of Instructional Coaching and Curriculum to establish measurable goals within the curriculum, and provide a framework for assessing those goals.
- Serves as a resource for implementation of instructional strategies and technology in instruction
- Facilitates development of curriculum implementation and alignment including benchmarks, resources, instructional strategies, timelines, assessments and frameworks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Master’s degree in School Administration, or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Minimum of five years of K-12 teaching experience, or related experience serving in an instructional role.
- Training and/or one year of experience in staff development, leadership development, instructional design, and school improvement.
- Current North Carolina Teaching License.

Registrar
Registrar:
Cardinal Gibbons High School is seeking applicants for a Registrar.
The Registrar is responsible for all student records and reports along with organizing and managing activities related to the student records and registration. This role also supports the academic departments, College Counseling, and the Administration.
Essential Duties include:
- Creating and editing student course schedules
- Processing all student records from enrollment to graduation
- Database management of all student records
- Completing school reports
- Processing transcript requests
- Completing paperwork in accordance with certain government agencies
- Communication and collaboration with a variety of departments
Other duties include preparation for various events such as Honor Roll Assembly and Graduation weekend along with tasks requested by Administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required;
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a high school or school setting.
- Position requires the employee to manage a variety of SIS and LMS data management systems.
- Advanced skills using GSuite and MS Office products are required.

Director of Annual Giving
Director of Annual Giving
Cardinal Gibbons High School is a vibrant and mission-driven Catholic high school located in the Diocese of Raleigh that instills in its students the core tenets of faith, service, and leadership and seeks an innovative, enterprising individual to serve as its next Director of Annual Giving, effective immediately.
The Director of Annual Giving is a senior member of the advancement team whose primary responsibility is the strategy and implementation of the School’s annual giving program, The Cardinal Gibbons Fund. Working closely with advancement team members and volunteers, the Director of Annual Giving will cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to meet the vision and financial goals of the School.
Additional responsibilities and skills include:
- Create and manage an annual plan for giving to The Cardinal Gibbons Fund from all constituencies that meets or exceeds annual goals.
- Recruit and manage parent volunteers for the Parent Leadership Council to meet and exceed goals for parent philanthropic support.
- Work with Director of Alumni Advancement to manage alumni annual giving.
- Coordinate with the Director of Parent Engagement to manage parent, alumni parent and grandparent engagement activities that encourage philanthropic support.
- Create plan for and manage office and classroom educator giving programs.
- Lead annual research on new parents and grandparents to identify leadership donor families.
- Coordinate annual donor recognition events, activities, and reports.
- Develop and maintain reports that communicate fundraising progress.
- Evaluate results, refine plans, and implement new strategies based on ongoing analysis.
- Participate in Advancement Department communication including messaging on social media and other internal and external communication platforms.
- Support the department’s efforts to ensure Raiser’s Edge best practices, leveraging the database as an institutional asset.
- Develop and monitor appropriate revenue and expense budgets.
- Foster a commitment to building and maintaining a strong advancement team spirit.
- Attend development events; this position may require evening and weekend work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of five years of development success; independent school setting preferred
- Database expertise and Microsoft Office proficiency required
- Ability to work evenings and travel as needed.

College Counseling Coordinator
COLLEGE COUNSELING COORDINATOR:
Cardinal Gibbons High School is seeking applicants for a College Counseling Coordinator.
The College Counseling Coordinator supports the College Counselors and Department with administrative duties including but not limited to:
- Coordinate the CAT, PSAT, SAT, ACT, and AP testing
- Organize college visits and meet with college representatives
- Assist with College Counseling event planning throughout the year
- Manage the incoming academic accommodations paperwork for students
- Ensure information on CC department webpages is accurate and up to date.
- Promote happenings within the department and events using social media.
- Attend department meetings and organize meeting notes
- Maintain the department digital resources
- Send out transcripts for graduates
- Maintain accurate SAT and ACT scores in SCOIR
- Create college admission reports and survey data
- Organize scholarship information
- Organize SAT/ACT prep classes on campus
- Keep SAT/ACT prep, tutor and referral lists up to date
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Strong time management skills, extremely organized, and detailed oriented
- Knowledgeable of Google and other platforms
- Independent worker and multi-tasker
- Enjoys working with students with a friendly demeanor
