This course is designed to continue the study of functions from Math II. Students will then expand their knowledge of polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions.. Students will extend their study of trigonometry to include the study of circular trigonometry and trigonometric functions that model periodic phenomena. Students will bring together their experience with functions and geometry to create models and solve problems, including the study of geometric solids.. The Standards for Mathematical Practice apply throughout the course, and together with the Math III Content Standards, allow students to experience mathematics and apply it as they make sense of problem situations. A graphing calculator is required, and a TI-84 is recommended.
