Opportunity Scholarship

All families applying for financial aid at Cardinal Gibbons are required to also apply for the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship. This state-funded program provides tuition assistance based on household income and operates independently from Cardinal Gibbons.

• Families seeking school-based financial aid must submit an Opportunity Scholarship application.
• School financial aid awards will be finalized only after the Opportunity Scholarship application is complete.
• If a family is found ineligible for the Opportunity Scholarship, this will not impact eligibility for Cardinal Gibbons financial aid.

About the Opportunity Scholarship

• The application opens in February each year.

• Many families qualify based on income, and applying ensures access to all available state resources.
