Cardinal Gibbons welcomes applications from qualified rising 10th and 11th-grade students in the spring and summer of each year.
Students are accepted on a rolling admissions basis after March 5.
In-state students who transfer to Gibbons are required to refrain from athletic competition for a year.
Prior to starting the application process, you must submit transcripts (prior two academic years plus the current year). This should include final report cards, your latest standardized testing scores, and attendance/discipline records.
The Admissions Committee will review your transcripts to determine if we have a space. You will be contacted by the Admissions Office with the review outcome and possible next steps. To submit transcripts, please contact Admissions Director Alison Gammage at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If we invite you to continue the application process, we will send you a link to the online application.
As a transfer student, you will be supported with several programs as you begin your Gibbons journey:
Transition Ambassador Program
The Transition Ambassador Program is a small team made up of parents and students who have “walked in your shoes,” chose to transfer to Gibbons, and help you with any questions you may still have.
Parent & Peer Ambassador
Both a Parent & Peer Ambassador, based on your common background and/or experiences, will be assigned to you. The Peer Ambassadors will be Juniors or Seniors and have at least one year of CGHS experience from which to draw on to support you. The Parent Ambassadors also have the knowledge on which you can rely as you become part of the CGHS community.
Your family will meet your mentors and key educators at the Transfer Family Night in August.
