Athletics Hall of Fame

• must have graduated from Cardinal Gibbons or Cathedral Latin
• been in good academic standing while participating in sports
• graduated ten or more years prior to nomination (accepting graduates from 2011 and earlier)
• and demonstrate consistent respect and loyalty to CGHS with good sportsmanship and citizenship
• they must represent the Cardinal Gibbons tradition of excellence, values, and mission

As a guide to selecting outstanding athletes, the following criteria should be significant. (list is not in order of importance):

1. Athlete of the Year
2. All-Conference selection
3. All-State selection
4. All-American selection
5. State champion
6. Record setter or holder
7. Participation or recognition at the national level
8. Distinguished post high school career
9. Winner of special awards given by teammates or coaches

*The Selection Committee will have the flexibility to recognize outstanding individuals whose qualifications are not on the above list.

• Coaches who have had outstanding success in their sport;
• and demonstrate a consistent respect and loyalty to CGHS with good sportsmanship and citizenship;
• and represent the Cardinal Gibbons tradition of excellence, values and mission.

• Dedicated, longtime supporters of Gibbons athletic programs shall be eligible for consideration;
• who demonstrated consistent respect and loyalty to CGHS with good sportsmanship and citizenship
• They must represent the Cardinal Gibbons tradition of excellence, values and mission.
