The school record holder in hitting percentage, Katie helped the Crusaders claim three state volleyball titles in a row during her time at Gibbons. She also holds the single-season hitting mark at .628 and the single-match blocks record with 20. Katie averaged 3.30 kills per game and 1.40 blocks per game for her career, including 4.76 kills per game and 1.71 blocks per game during her senior season.

A four-year letter winner, Katie earned All-American nods from the American Volleyball Coaches Association, Volleyball Magazine, and PrepVolleyball.com. She was also a three-time Mid-State All-Conference honoree. During her senior year, Katie was named the school’s Co-Female Athlete of the Year and the Conference Player of the Year. 

Katie was a member of UCLA’s 2011 NCAA national championship team. After earning her bachelor’s degree, she went on to become the Director of Sales and Marketing at E Factor before becoming a mother. Katie and her husband, Ted, have two children, Taylor and JJ.
