Coaches

  • Head Coach

Andrew Tuttle has been the Varsity Women's Tennis Coach at Cardinal Gibbons since 2008. The team has won the conference championship in each of his eleven seasons, compiling an overall record of 251-43.  In 2011, the team won the 3-A State Championship, the first in the program's history, and then made it three state titles in four years by winning in 2013 & 2014. In 2008 and 2010 the team finished as State Runners-Up.

Prior to coming to Gibbons, Tuttle coached four seasons at Green Hope and a season each at Cary and NCSSM. Tuttle has a career coaching record of 312-83 in sixteen seasons of women's tennis, and 619-132 overall in his thirty seasons of coaching high school tennis (men's and women's combined).

Tuttle is also a member of the school's math department and currently teaches Math III Honors, AP Statistics, and Advanced Functions and Modeling. In addition to coaching women's tennis in the fall, Tuttle is an assistant women's basketball coach during the winter, and the head varsity men's tennis coach during the spring.
