The CGHS Robotics Club welcomes all students interested in programming, modeling, designing, and building robots to promote STEM initiatives in the community. The club and was founded in 2008, and in 2016 has expanded to accommodate two competitive First Tech Challenge (FTC) teams. Members work collaboratively to construct robots that perform challenging tasks on a unique obstacle course each season. The club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and Saturday mornings in the Makerspace (room 120) where students have access to PTC CREO professional modeling software, a 3D printer, a ShopBot for cutting Lexan parts, as well as a milling machine.
Experience not required to participate, only a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
