Director of Drama Technical Theater (2025-2026)

We are seeking applicants for a Director of Drama Technical Theater to start in the Fall of 2025.
This individual will provide essential leadership, collaboration, and oversight for all aspects of technical theatrical production for an ambitious, high-performing student-centered theater program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Theater, Stage Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience as a technical director or in other theatrical production team leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience with theatrical scenic design and lighting.
- Teaching experience at high school and/or college level.
- Proficiency in light board programming, QLab, and/or other sound design software.
- Aptitude with VectorWorks/AutoCAD, ETC Ion light boards, Shure microphones, Allen Heath QU series soundboards, Creston controls, and Paradigm control systems.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, organizational, and student-centered mindset (and skillset).
- Ability to work collaboratively with the members of the Fine Arts department and the whole school in academics, extra-curricular activities, and furthering our school's mission.
- Demonstrated experience in theatrical production process, preparation, and execution.
- Ability to meet production process benchmarks and timelines in a high-functioning, high-expectation theatrical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum development and instruction for four levels of high school technical theater courses (Tech Theater I-IV).
- Leadership, supervision, coordination, and management of all aspects of technical theatrical production for 3-4 co-curricular productions per school year.
- Recruit and supervise student technical crews and develop training programs to build an ongoing student technical production team.
- Provide sound/AV needs for assemblies, music concerts, dance concerts, and various other school events.
- Serve as a leader and collaborator in the continued vision and development of the Gibbons Drama program.

Substitute Coordinator and Human Resource Support
Cardinal Gibbons High School is seeking a full-time Substitute Coordinator and Human Resource Support professional to join our team. This key role supports both the Personnel and Business departments and is responsible for managing the substitute teacher program as well as providing essential human resources and administrative support.
Job Description:
The Substitute Coordinator and Human Resource Support position is responsible for training, managing, and scheduling substitute teachers (both internal and external), while also assisting in HR tasks such as onboarding new employees and ensuring all required documentation is completed. This role also includes clerical and data entry tasks, front desk coverage, and maintaining organized, efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for educator absences
- Manage a pool of substitute teachers
- Collaborate with the Personnel Manager to hire, onboard, and train substitutes
- Schedule and coordinate substitute coverage daily; welcome substitutes and provide on-site support
- Operate and manage SmartFind (automated substitute system); enter data and generate relevant reports
- Collect and track substitute feedback and communicate as needed
- Verify substitute hours for payroll and assist with leave reporting and pay accuracy
- Provide comprehensive HR support, including:
- Collecting and processing new employee paperwork
- Submitting and verifying I-9 documentation
- Ensuring completion and accuracy of all onboarding and HR-related forms
- Assist with background checks and maintain confidential employee records
- Cover front desk during lunch breaks and when the receptionist is out
- Manage office supply inventory and restocking
Skills & Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of clerical or administrative experience, preferably in an educational or HR environment
- Excellent understanding of Excel and Google Sheets is required. Skillset may be reviewed during the interview process
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive/Docs, and HR platforms/tools
- High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in data management
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work with frequent interruptions
- Prolonged computer and phone use required
- Availability for early morning hours and occasional evenings/weekends during the school year
