In this season of giving thanks, our school community "took a slice out of hunger" by collecting nearly 10,000 pounds of food and baby items to benefit people in need in our area.
Opening Hearts Though Retreats
“The one thing I love most about Gibbons is how we integrate faith into our daily lives, such as prayer before classes and practices or the opportunity to attend daily Mass. These opportunities allow both students and educators to be reminded that not only is our relationship with God important, but also that through Him and His work all things are possible.”

Ministry News
The recent blessing of the Cardinal Gibbons Short Journey Retreat Center was a historic day for our school, one that ushered in the start of a new chapter for the center.
If there is one thing most Gibbons Alumni agree on, it’s this: Living out the call to serve remains an aspiration long after they graduate. One recent example is alumni service day.
After a year of praying, planning, and renovating Cardinal Gibbons recently reopened the Short Journey Retreat Center and welcomed its first retreatants to their home away from home.
Ah, Tradition! Every year for the past 25 years, a group of Gibbons students and educators have attended Easter Sunday Mass at St. Peter’s Square in Rome as part of the annual school-sponsored trip to Italy.

Co-Curriculars
Please see the Gibbons Co-Curricular page for details on all our co-curricular programs.
Cardinal Gibbons High School believes that what happens before and after school is not "extra" at all, so we call our engagement opportunities "co-curricular" and not "extracurricular".
Gibbons educators and students collaborate on a incredible range of activities covering the entire spectrum of potential student interests. Maybe your student is into the arts or media studies, or maybe they are into gaming (of all kinds!), or maybe they may want to build robots, or fly drones. Do they want to go deeper into academic topics, and explore books and writing, or learn (and do!) more with physics, biology or math? Do they want to explore their faith, and live out our mission to serve our Church and community?
At Gibbons, all this -- and much more! -- is available through our co-curricular programs.
If you have further questions about any of our programs, please contact the moderator via their email address, found on the respective program page.

Faith and Ministry
Please see the Faith & Ministry home page for more details on our many faith-based programs.
At Cardinal Gibbons High School, our Catholic faith is the foundation for the formation of each of our students.
Every student serves our community through our Outreach program at least once a year and many students volunteer for one of the various service organizations on campus. Every student has an opportunity to attend a retreat hosted by our Retreats program. And all students take theology classes, attend Mass and can volunteer for our ministry programs.
