Musical Theater Conservatory Track

Course of Study Information:

  • This track is intended to be a three-year course of study in the multidisciplinary subject area of Musical Theater. 
     
  • After an introductory course in Drama, Dance or Vocal Music, students will be eligible to audition for placement in the Gibbons Drama Musical Theater track.
     
  • Upperclassmen may audition for placement in their grade level cohort if they do not start the program in grade 10.
     
  • No experience is necessary to audition for placement in the musical theater track.
     
  • Cohorts are capped at 10 students per grade level.
     
  • Students who have auditioned for and been cast in the spring musical should contact Mr. Ferguson to discuss waiving the audition requirement for placement.

Class Placement Audition Information:

  • Interested students should use this Screencastify Submit link to submit a video recording of yourself singing two contrasting musical theater songs that best demonstrate your vocal ability.
     
  • Audition guidelines and information are posted on the Screencastify submission page.  

Submission deadline: All audition recordings must be submitted no later than 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Students will be notified of placement status no later than Thursday, February 12.
