Favorite Gibbons Memory: Seeing Brother Michelle come out on a motorcycle in a leather vest during my first pep rally. Complete with a red bandana around his head!
Best College Counseling Advice: Consider the small school. You may not have the big massive football stadium, or the big school environment, but you will gain more than you think! Also, take a look at schools out of state. There are so many amazing schools out there with scholarships to offer! You may find that a school out of state is a better fit for you.
Interests: I love watching sports (football, basketball, hockey)! I enjoy a good run or going for a cycling class. My favorite food is sushi and I could eat it every meal every day!

Favorite Gibbons Tradition: Trip to Italy over spring break
Best Counseling Advice: No one is an island. Find those who want the best for you, even if they challenge your thinking, and ask them for advice and help. Allow them to enhance your life's journey. You are you-don't compare yourself to anyone else. Be the very best you possible.
Hobbies: Gardening, Creating and/or listening to music of any sort, crossword and Sudoku puzzles, cooking and hiking in the woods.
School: 919-834-1625 x 224
Year Started at Gibbons: 2003
Education: BA Occidental College, MSW University of Southern California
Favorite Gibbons Tradition: This is a toss up between the carpool drop-off on freshman welcome day, it is such a festive day and cupcake day in May when we celebrate the seniors and cap off four years.
Best Counseling Advice: Think outside of the box, cliche perhaps but so important as you think about the next stage in life. Think about what college environment will be best for you, academically but also personally, where will you grow the most? Think about colleges outside of the area, look at colleges that you have never heard of before! College is a great time to live and see another part of the country and experience being away from home.
Interests: I like to run, swim, read, bake and am usually at one pool or another watching my kids swim!
School: 919-834-1625 x 225
Year started at Gibbons: 2017

Favorite Gibbons Tradition: Hard to choose just one! Senior Supper fills my heart to the brim and I love the opportunity to serve our students one last time.
Best College Counseling Advice: Although the college process can be a bit overwhelming and stressful, have fun with it! Tour as many campuses as you can (always visit the bookstore) and consider all different types of schools! Private, public, 2-year, 4-year…it all boils down to the best fit. Where do you feel the most comfortable? Where can you envision yourself spending the best years of your life? Take your time, do your research, don’t rush into a decision and remember to breathe!
Interests: I am a fitness fanatic and love a good endorphin rush, however my obsession with sweets is over the top-give me a jumbo cupcake or slice of cake and I'm a happy camper. YOLO!

Favorite Gibbons Tradition: Cupcake Day (National College Response Day) – an exciting day celebrating seniors’ accomplishments and personal growth throughout high school (including the enjoyment of a big, sugary cupcake!)

Your college experience is entirely your own – spend time thinking about what is really important to you and identify schools that are a good match for you academically and personally.

Best College Counseling Advice: Don’t make everything about college and miss out on a quality high school experience. Research different types of colleges and not only schools you are familiar with. Reflect on your future college experience-what’s important to you? Only apply to colleges that are the best fit for you!
