Liturgy
Source and Summit
The Second Vatican Council referred to the Liturgy as the "source and summit of the mission and life of the Church." As such, liturgy is the most important thing we do as a Catholic people, and at Cardinal Gibbons liturgy is an integral part of our school life. We gather regularly for the celebration of all-school Mass in Fr. Thomas Price Gymnasium.
Daily Mass will not be celebrated on days where we have all-school Mass. Students and educators are encouraged to attend Daily Mass, and parents are welcome to attend Daily Mass as well. Due to space limitations, we cannot accommodate parents at all-school Mass.
Masses are also celebrated for athletic teams, clubs and other student groups. Please contact Fr. Daniel Oschwald if you would like to arrange a Mass for your student group, or would like to submit a Mass intention.
Students are encouraged to serve in various liturgical roles at both all-school Masses and Daily Mass.
