Tailgating

It's not parking, it's tailgating. Bring your chairs, tents, cooking skills, and friendly spirit. This is a place for you to spread out, hang out, and shout out for Gibbons. 

What’s new 

• Enjoy a streamlined tailgating process - families no longer need to sign up for each game.
• Tailgating spots will be assigned at the entrance until the lot is full. This change will ensure a better traffic flow through the lot and alleviate safety concerns. 
• Due to safety concerns, student helpers will no longer be available to assist with hauling tailgating supplies. Please come prepared with a wagon or an extra set of hands. 
• Tailgating setup and drop-off begin when the lot opens at 4:30 p.m. The lot closes at 6 p.m.
  • Due to on-campus activities, we cannot accommodate families any earlier.
  • Our staff cannot be responsible for food or tailgating supplies - please refrain from dropping anything off until the tailgating lot opens. 

Reminders 

• The stadium lot is for tailgating only. Cars should not use this lot for parking. 
• Cars cannot line up before the lot opens at 4:30 p.m. This creates congestion and could delay the opening of the lot by hindering students and staff from exiting on time. 
• Parents picking up students after school should enter through the main entrance. Carpool is unavailable in the stadium lot when we host home football games. 
• Gibbons is an alcohol and tobacco-free campus. 
• Emergency vehicles must have access to the stadium. Only park in marked spaces. 
• There are handicapped spaces available in the tailgating lot on a first-come, first-served basis. A valid handicapped placard is required. The lot will remain open for handicapped parking beyond 6 p.m.
