Senior Cellist Nate Hagan earns top All-State Honors Orchestra score

Senior Nate Hagan recently received the highest score in North Carolina during auditions for the 2021 NC All-State Honors Orchestra. The event, which consists of orchestra students from the top programs in the state, will be held this fall. 

Nate, who joined the Gibbons strings program as a freshman, has been honing his cello skills for more than eight years. He has been selected for the All-State Honor Orchestra every year since he arrived at Gibbons. 

“The thing I like best about being in the orchestra at Gibbons is all the opportunities we have to play our instruments outside of class. I play at morning mass weekly as well as for various events that Gibbons holds," Nate said. "These opportunities are all very fun and beneficial ..."
