The Office of Communications, in partnership with the Gibbons Tech Team, is excited to announce the release of the first-ever Gibbons App, a mobile-friendly version of the information on our website, featuring School Updates and the School Calendar.

The Office of Communications, in partnership with the Gibbons Tech Team, is excited to announce the release of the first-ever Gibbons App, a mobile-friendly version of the information on our website, featuring School Updates and the School Calendar.

Created with and published through our website services provider Finalsite, this app also contains an Athletics team section, the Educator Directory, useful links to key information like our Reopening Plan and Powerschool, a login feature to allow access to our school directory, and much more to come!

As we develop the app further, we'll publish information in this post with all the latest news, tips and directions so bookmark this link to stay in touch!

The details, FAQ-style

Can anyone download and use this app?
Yes! It's a public app, no login required to access it.

Just search "Cardinal Gibbons HS NC" in the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store and then select “Download”. 

Do I have to login to use this app?
No! Login is not required for use. 

Parents, students and educators can use their usual Finalsite login information, if they choose.

Is this the same login as I use on the website?
Yes! The information you use to login to see your class pages is the same information for the app.

Can I see my classes and grades in the app?
No! For security, there is no access to grades or classes in this app. There is a link to Powerschool in the app, where grades live, but that will open in a browser, for security.

So why would I login?
Only to see the student and parent directory. That's it.

Why can't I login? Help!
First, you don't need to login to use the app. The only thing that logging into the app gives you is access to the student and parent directory.

Second, all students should use their usual Powerschool and website credentials to login.

Parents, your username is: parentlastnameparentfirstnamestudentIDnumber, all one word, just like this.

"Student ID number" is your first Gibbons student/oldest student's ID number and that never changes, no matter how many of your children come through Gibbons.

Okay, got it. So how do I get that information?
First, please try to login at www.cghsnc.org/login using whatever you think is the right information.

If you have no idea, hit that "Forgot Username/Password" link and follow that process. Be sure to enter the email address that you have on file with us. Pro-tip: If you're not sure which email you gave us, here's a good test: Have you gotten any Gibbons emails from Office of Communication, Tech Team or Head of School? If so, that's the one we have on file!

You will be sent your username, if the system finds your email on file. The email will come from "noreply@cardinalgibbons.myenotice.com" and it will look like this:

This email is to inform you of your Cardinal Gibbons High School Portal Login.
Login Username: [your username]
You must contact your site administrator to reset your password.

At that point, email website@cghsnc.org and someone will assist you by sending you you a temporary password. Parents control their own password for the website so you can choose your own password at that point.

And what if you don't have my email or I never got that email?

Well, now we are in "troubleshooting" territory.

Step 1: Please email website@cghsnc.org and be sure to include the email address and username you attempted to use. We'll use that information to see where the problem may be and reply to you.

Step 2: Please give us three (3) school days to resolve this. Yes, we know that's annoying but we promise we are doing our best keeping everything spinning in the tech world and three days is about how long it takes us to fix these issues while keeping our student support our focus.
