Serving Our Soldiers Club or “SOS” is an extracurricular school club whose mission is to serve, connect with, and provide support to our country’s military, veterans, and their families. Our goal is to raise awareness within the Cardinal Gibbons student body of various military career opportunities while acknowledging the distinguished service and sacrifice that these men and women make in protecting our nation.
This club welcomes students from all grade levels and generally meets at least once a month with some meetings occurring at local military installations and offices. Throughout the school year, SOS will organize a series of projects that provide support and encouragement to troops that are deployed to other countries. Not only do these projects directly support our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen but also help to get the students of Cardinal Gibbons High School involved and more connected to our nation’s troops.
