The Upcycle Club aims to make sustainable living accessible for all Gibbons students by teaching methods of reusing and recycling old materials to create something new. Instead of throwing away textiles (such as old t-shirts, ill-fitting clothes, blankets, sheets, etc.) and contributing to landfill waste, we can give these items new life. In upcycling these items, we can help reduce the massive carbon footprint caused by the fashion industry. The Upcycle Club is for all Gibbons students who are interested in sustainability, the fashion industry, sewing and creative expression.
